What is Onsen wedding?

Onsen Wedding” is a “2 meals 1 night wedding” with family, friends, and guests, and is a “style wedding with a hot spring trip attached”.

A wedding is over in 3-4 hours. Is it really that short? You may be thinking, “How short can it be? It is common for guests and relatives who have come all the way from far away to spend only a few minutes talking with each other.

Features of Onsen Weddings

01. Onsen Ryokan Whole Private Wedding

The main attraction of onsen weddings is the possibility of renting out an entire small luxury ryokan (Japanese-style inn) for the wedding.

It is not easy to rent out an onsen ryokan for use unless it is a wedding. You can also use the bar and lounge in the onsen ryokan to hold a mini-concert with just your guests and relatives.

Onsen weddings can be held at a private onsen ryokan for a total of 20 people. Have you ever had such a luxurious wedding?

02.Full Wedding Ceremony” at Onsen Ryokan

Onsen wedding is more than just a wedding reception. A full wedding ceremony is held. This is the charm of Onsen weddings.

No shrine in Onsen? No churches either? You may think so, but we provide transportation between shrines and churches at onsen ryokan to ensure a smooth wedding ceremony.

Recently, it has become very common to hold a public ceremony inside an onsen ryokan, rather than at a shrine or church.

03. Onsen weddings are not only for Japanese-style weddings

Do you think that onsen weddings can only be held in kimono? Of course, dresses are possible.

For Onsen weddings, you and your photographer can head to a Onsen ryokan sightseeing spot or Instagram spot for a dress or kimono location shoot.

We can offer wonderful location shooting as there are many shooting spots around the hot spring inns. We also offer dress studio shoots, so please contact us for more information.

04. Same as onsen ryokan, “post-payment system.”

I think most weddings and other events are usually paid in advance. This is not a system where two people who are embarking on a new beginning have to pay an amount of money up front that they have never experienced before.

Although the production fee is required at the time of contracting, unlike guesthouses where everything is paid in advance, Onsen weddings are “postpaid” just like staying at an onsen ryokan (Onsen). We will first prepare an estimate and calculate the approximate cost. Payment is made after the event.

05. Weddings we would like to be invited to

What kind of wedding would you like to attend? We aim to create a wedding that people will say, “I want to be invited” or “Please invite us”. In order to make your wedding a wedding you would like to be invited to, we have listed three key points.

Onsen ryokan full charter experience

A whole small ryokan can be rented out for a hot spring wedding for about 20 people. This is the kind of wedding I would like to attend.

Held at a luxury onsen ryokan

I’m spending money on a wedding, so a luxury Onsen ryokan I’ve never stayed at is an option. This is the kind of wedding I want to be invited to.

All rooms with open-air bath

Even if you don’t like big baths, it’s okay. We can arrange for you to stay at an Onsen ryokan with open-air baths in every room.

Many couples give their parents a “suite” as a gift. Why not give them a trip to an Onsen

06. Onsen throughout Japan are eligible.

Onsen Wedding will correspond and negotiate with any onsen ryokan anywhere in Japan. You ask the onsen ryokan you go to directly, “Can we have a wedding there?” We will negotiate with the onsen ryokan to hold your wedding ceremony at the onsen. Even in such a case, we will negotiate with the inn and make arrangements for you to hold your wedding at the onsen.

Onsen ryokan are professionals in banquets and lodging, not weddings. Onsen Wedding, as a wedding professional, will work with onsen ryokan to create a successful wedding.

Advantages of Certain Onsen Weddings

Cospa is just the best!

The idea is to make a two-day and one-night hot spring trip a gift instead of a gift or souvenir. It is safe because it is the same feeling as a stay at a usual onsen ryokan.

Spend a long time with relatives and guests at 2 meals per night

Don’t you feel that a wedding is about 3 hours long? An Onsen wedding is always a one-night stay and two meals. You can spend a long time with guests from far away.

About the budget you are concerned about

Let’s have a “Onsen wedding. Even if you think so, what you may end up worrying about may be the budget. The idea of an onsen wedding held at an onsen ryokan can be easily understood if you think of it as “the cost of accommodations at an onsen ryokan + costumes + alpha.

Since “all meals and venue costs are included in the room charge” at onsen ryokan, weddings can be held at a much more reasonable cost than at guesthouses specializing in weddings.

Our company has many questions such as what is your budget, how many guests do you want to invite, where do you want to hold the event, etc. Please contact us first. From there, we will work with you on the budget.
